“Travel changes you. As you move through this life…. you leave marks behind, however small. And, in return, life and travel leaves marks on you.” Anthony Bourdain
I was so lucky to have the opportunity to spend an entire year in Sweden 10 years ago, and so thankful to be able to go visit my old home for that year. Lund holds such a special spot in my heart and I am so happy to be able to share it with a friend of mine, Aubrey.
Skarhults slott is a castle that sits just outside of Lund and has been owned only by women. Dating back to the 1500’s with its winding stair cases, and breathtaking rooms, this castle is simply stunning.
Lund is one of the oldest Cities in Sweden, dating back to 990. Lund has such an infectious charm and welcoming atmosphere. Cobblestone streets line the city, colored houses are nestled into the center of the city with wild flowers growing.
I definitely felt at home while walking the streets, stopping into shops and store along the way.
My heart yearns to visit Lund again, as it not only is the place I spent most of my time in, but it holds my host families.
